EMERIA Aqua is a sterile, pyrogen-free, biodegradable, and biocompatible injectable skin booster designed for mesotherapy and intradermal application.

This product is recommended for the prevention of early signs of skin aging, improvement of mild superficial skin depressions, and correction of minor skin imperfections

Composition

Mode of Action

EMERIA Aqua acts through a targeted hydration and barrier-supporting mechanism:

1. Intensive hydration and moisture retention

High-molecular-weight hyaluronic acid binds large amounts of water and forms a protective film on the skin surface, helping prevent transepidermal water loss. Glycerol acts as a powerful humectant, reinforcing the stratum corneum and reducing dryness and irritation.

2. Strengthening of the skin barrier

HMW hyaluronic acid improves the integrity of the epidermal barrier and supports resistance against environmental stressors. Glycerol contributes to lipid organization within the stratum corneum, helping maintain structural stability.

3. Improvement of elasticity and skin texture

The combined action of hyaluronic acid and glycerol enhances skin suppleness, firmness, and smoothness, resulting in a fresher, more radiant, and plumper appearance.

Indications

EMERIA Aqua is indicated for:

• Skin hydration and maintenance of physiological moisture balance

• Improvement of mild superficial skin depressions

• Prevention of premature skin aging

• Support of sensitive and dry skin conditions

• Enhancement of skin softness, elasticity, and firmness

Pre-Treatment Recommendations

·         Avoid blood-thinning agents such as antiplatelet agents (e.g., aspirin, clopidogrel), anticoagulants (e.g., warfarin or apixaban), vitamins C and E, omega-3 fatty acids, certain herbal supplements (e.g., ginkgo biloba and garlic), some antidepressants (e.g., SSRIs such as sertraline) and certain supplements for 1 week before treatment, if medically appropriate

·         Avoid treatment if there is any active infection in the treatment area.

·         Avoid dental procedures 3 weeks before and after treatment

·         For lip/perioral treatment in patients with recurrent herpes, prophylactic acyclovir may be considered by the physician

·         Avoid sun exposure 2 days before treatment

Post-Treatment Recommendations

• Gentle massage may be applied by the physician, if necessary.

• Cold compress may help reduce bruising immediately after treatment

• Avoid makeup for 24 hours

• Use a moisturizer

• Avoid massage of the treated area for 24 hours

• Avoid sauna, swimming pool, steam bath, solarium, and direct sunlight until initial redness and swelling resolve

• Avoid extreme heat/cold and intense exercise until swelling subsides

• Contact the physician or clinic in case of any unexpected adverse reaction

Contraindications

Do not use in cases of:

• Hypersensitivity to any component of the product

• Active skin irritation or inflammation in the treatment area

• Uncontrolled immune system disorders, unless under physician supervision

• Coagulation disorders

Warnings

• Use only if the package is sealed and undamaged

• Do not use after the expiration date

• Do not freeze the product

• For intradermal injection only

• Do not inject intravascularly

• Medical injection procedures carry a risk of infection; appropriate aseptic precautions are required

• Do not re-sterilize

• Do not mix with other injectable products

• Record one traceability label in the patient’s medical file

• Keep out of reach of children

Adverse Reactions

Common and usual transient reactions may include:

• Swelling

• Bruising

• Redness

• Tenderness

• Itching

• Small palpable papules or nodules

Rare but serious adverse events requiring immediate medical attention:

• Vascular occlusion

• Infection

• Allergic reaction

• Granuloma formation
